A Memoir of Growing up in a Jerusalem-Hungarian Family
The Shaddely-Babbelies is a memoir about the author's childhood and adolescence in Jerusalem of the 1960s and 1970s, in a family whose parents lived through the horrors of World War II and the Holocaust in Hungary and then settled in a country whose language and culture they could never learn; yet they raised in it four children, wishing for them to move forward, not backward, as they felt their life was always taking them.
