Professor Eli Zamski received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and held the position of a professor of Botany there until his retirement in 2006. He served as the head of the Department of Agricultural Botany in the Faculty of Agriculture and was twice presented with the best lecturer award of the Hebrew University. Throughout his career, he spent his sabbaticals serving as a visiting professor in Harvard, Utah State University, Pennsylvania State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and North Carolina State University, where he taught courses in Botany. Professor Zamski published hundreds of professional publications and fourteen books on both scientific and non-scientific topics. He served as the Chief Scientist of Nature and Parks in Israel and held the position of president of teachers’ college for six years. He is currently the head of Graduate School in Hemdat Hadarom College of Education in Israel.
